Harper and Ava busy playing

Harper has been super busy. She is pulling up on everything she can reach. I find her standing all the time. I think walking is not too far in the distant future. She still has no teeth, but is chewing on everything, so I feel that won't be long either.
I am so bad about posting blogs, there are many events that happen between the postings.

At the beginning of the month some of our friends from Lubbock stopped by on their way through town. It was nice to see them. Harper had fun playing with Ava.

Harper got an eye infection that resulted in an eye surgery to correct a blocked tear duct. It happened around the middle of October. It was pretty stressful to send my baby to surgery. The worse part was when they brought her out of surgery on a stretcher. She was so tiny compared to the huge stretcher. But thank God everything went well. Thanks for all the prayers. We felt very fortunate for our health and that we were only there for a minor procedure. We saw many kids with much more serious problems than ours.
This past weekend we went to Lubbock for the Texas Tech vs University of Texas game. It was a blast, Harper tailgated with us for a while before her Pop and KeKe so nicely came and picked her up. I forgot my camera but the game was a nail biter, we won though.
Also Harper has been to some pumpkin patches and the local farmer's market to take her first Halloween pictures. She usually smiles a lot, but we got her dressed and ready and I have one picture of her smiling. She refused to smile, I think maybe the pumpkins freaked her out a little. I even had Harper's Great Grammy and Grandpy along with GiGi helping and no one could get a smile. Since we were on the road to Lubbock Halloween night Harper got dressed up in her strawberry outfit just for the camera. She'll never know it wasn't Halloween night.
Harper is growing up so fast, she changes every week. We just really feel blessed to be her parents. Hope everyone is doing well. We will be home every weekend from now until Thanksgiving, let us hear from you!!!!
Oh I'll put one picture of Ben's new hobby, wildlife photography :). He grabs the camera anytime any wildlife comes in the backyard. He has some new pets, about 30 turkey, if anyone needs a Thanksgiving turkey let us know, we know where to get one.

Six Months

Harper is six months old today!!! How time flies. She is now army crawling on her elbows, so not formally crawling yet but she sure can get where she wants to go. We find her at Ben's laptop quite often. She is a big fan of cords also. So it is now time for us to baby proof the house. She still has no teeth and does not like baby food very well. Although you can see she is getting plenty of formula. Her bouncer is her favorite past time, and she also likes to talk to the baby in the mirror. We are so greatful to have her, she is a true joy in our lives, even on the sleepless nights.

We stayed at home this weekend and relaxed, Ben played in a golf tournament Saturday, so Harper, GG and I went shopping. Overall pretty noneventful.

We are going to Lubbock next weekend to visit friends and shop at our good friend's consignment baby sale. Which we look forward to twice a year.

So far we have only had a few visitors, and are looking forward to more so keep that in mind.

Measurements

I forgot Harper went to the doctor Friday. She weighed 17lbs 5oz, and was 25 1/4inches. A very healthy baby. :)

Quiet Weekend

We stayed in Weatherford this weekend and have enjoyed it. Harper and I along with my mom and dad went to Harper's Great Great Aunt Retta's house for lunch. We visited our cousin Suzie and her husband Sam, and also got to play with Uncle Dane. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed the visit.

Our friends Jay and Kim Hurst had a baby, Jett Riley, today. Congratulations Jay and Kim, we're so excited for y'all, and so thankful everything went so well.

Here are a lot of catch up pictures, I will try to become more consistent with the postings. We are beginning to become settled in the new house, although it has been a very long process.
